General Use PE50BBH Pyroelectric Detector Features Flat Spectral Response and High Repetition Rate

Wilmington, MA, March, 2005...Ophir Optronics, Inc., leaders in advanced technology for laser power, energy, beam profile and wavelength measurements, introduces the new, PE50BBH Pyroelectric Detector. The PE50BHH is recommended for general use on pulsed lasers.

The PE50BBH is spectrally flat, with low reflection and a high repetition rate. The PES0BBH's high-speed black absorber has a spectral response of 0.15-1.7µm and 10.6µ, and a surface reflectivity rating of approximately 5%. The PE50BBH handles a maximum pulse rate of 1000Hz. The lowest measurable energy on the short pulse setting is 20µJ and 100µJ on the long pulse
setting. The PE50BBH has a maximum long pulse width rating of 1 ms.

The energy scales of the PE50BBH are from 200µJ to 10J. The PE50BBH has a noise level of 2µJ and offers a damage threshold of 0.2J/cm²; linearity of ±1.5% for >10% of full-scale, and delivers maximum average power of 15W.

The PE50BBH will operate with all the current Laserstar Series smart displays, which include the Laserstar, Nova II, Nova, and Orion-PE displays.
