Original Press Release:

Pacific Power Source Expands Popular ACX Series of AC Power Sources with New Models

Irvine, California – Pacific Power Source is pleased to announce the release of two new ACX model precision programmable AC power sources at power levels of 1000VA and 1500VA respectively. The 1800VA capable 118ACX model introduced earlier remains available. The new 110ACX and l15ACX models share the same feature set and compact 2U rack mount high power density design as the original 118ACX but at lower price points.

Pacific Power’s National Sales Manager, Eric Lord, was quoted as saying: “With the expansion of the popular ACX Series, our customer now have a wider choice of price and power points to best meet their needs.” He continuous: “While the 118ACX was already an incredible value for a fully capable programmable AC power source, not every application requires the full 1800VA and 30 Arms current capability of the 118ACX.  These new, lower power, models fill out the product line perfectly for less demanding requirements.”

In addition to these two new models in the range, all ACX models benefit from several enhancements and upgrades that were made to support the entire ACX Series.  In particular, a new and improved universal AC input front-end offers increased protection against line anomalies and better energy efficiency that previous versions. Furthermore, enhanced measurement resolution and stability was added to support smaller AC loads which have lower current and lower power levels.

Other features and capabilities carry over from the original 118ACX model and include a wide 15Hz to 1200Hz frequency range, dual 150Vac and 300Vac RMS voltage ranges, programmable current limit, fast output transient programming and full compatibility with Pacific Power’s UPC Studio Windows control software.  Test standard options for Avionics or commercial product compliance tested of single phase AC powered products available for Pacific Power’s larger AC power source are fully compatible with all ACX series models as well.  This includes test options such as Airbus, Boeing, Mil-Std 704, RTCA/DO-160 section 16 and IEC61000-4.

All this capability is easily controlled by the user through either the intuitive front panel with 160 character display or the aforementioned UPC Studio Windows software which is included with each ACX model.

All three models are now available for immediate delivery.  For more information on the new ACX AC power source is available on Pacific Power Source’s web site at http://www.pacificpower.com.  To discuss your AC power needs with one of our application specialists, please call us at (949) 251-1800, or email sales@pacificpower.com.
