Electrical Sensors / Detectors / Transducers
Precision Voltage Sensor features input impedance of 1 Mohm.
Press Release Summary:
With current consumption of 3.6 mA and output range of 0-5 V, Model 1135 measures voltages from -30 to +30 V with typical error of ±0.7%. Plug-and-play unit can be programmed using API that is supported under Windows, Windows CE, Mac OS X, and Linux. Users can write programs in Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C/C++, Flash/Flex, Java, Labview, Matlab, ActionScript 3.0, and Cocoa.
Original Press Release:
New 1135 - Precision Voltage Sensor replaces the 1123 - Precision Voltage Sensor
Substantially more accurate at half the price.
CALGARY, Alberta, March 8, 2010 - Phidgets Inc. released today the 1135 - Precision Voltage Sensor; the 1135 replaces the 1123 - Precision Voltage Sensor. The new sensor is substantially more accurate and can measure voltages from -30 to +30V with a typical error of ±0.7%.
"By using an input impedance of 1MegaOhm, we have been able to reduce the measurement distortion and produce substantially more accurate measurements." says Chester Fitchett, CEO of Phidgets.
"Our cost reduction program is also benefiting our customers by producing a new design that has resulted in a selling price that is $10.00 cheaper than our previous voltage sensor. " added Bernard Rousseau, Director of Marketing

Software Environment
"Unlike a lot of our competitor's products that require their users to write some firmware code in order to use their sensor, we are completely "Plug and Play" says Bernard Rousseau, Director of Marketing. "With Phidgets, you plug it in and start using it and when it comes to programming, the user, not us, decides which operating system and which computer language he wants to use", added Rousseau.
Users can program Phidgets using a simple yet powerful and well documented Application Programming Interfade (API) that is supported under Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Windows CE, Mac OS X, and Linux. Users can write programs in Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C/C++, Flash/Flex, Java, Labview, Matlab, ActionScript 3.0, and Cocoa.
Phidgets also provides programming examples for all its products to help programmers write their own programs. The API Libraries as well as the examples and the documentation are available at no charge on Phidgets.com.
Pricing and Availability
The 1035 - Precision Voltage Sensor is available now. The suggested resale price is $19.00 Canadian.
