Scan Systems Releases Tally-Rite Product to Aid OCTG Industry Companies in Tallying Piping
Tally-Rite, Scan System’s latest product release, enables OCTG companies to tally pipes, making one of the most costly, time consuming, and precision demanding services in the industry quick and accurate.
HOUSTON – Scan Systems, a specialized OCTG industry service provider, announces the release of its newly upgraded Tally-Rite product. Tally-Rite is a piping inventory management system that enables the user to capture and add up to 120 products in less than a minute. An automated device, Tally-Rite lets the operator tally a truck-load of tubing in less than 10 minutes and automatically uploads reports to their office computer when prompted.

In addition, tally crews are kept up to date at all times during the tally regarding how much footage and how many joints have been accounted for by viewing the readout on the data collection screen. Scan System’s portable Tally-Rite unit requires only two crew members (as opposed to the usual three or more) to tally materials, thus reducing labor costs. With the touch of a button the system counts the pieces, measuring each length accurately and quickly, and displaying the cumulative total of pipe string.
