Opto Diode Introduces New Photodetector

Newbury Park, CA - June 8, 2004 - Opto Diode Corporation, a leading supplier of standard and custom LEDs, IR and visible, introduces their first high performance photodiode. The ODD-5W (5mm²) silicon PIN photodiode is now in production at Opto Diode's U. S. based facility. The photodiodes have excellent responsivity from 400 nm to 1100 nm, exhibit low dark current, low capacitance and feature a 2.52mm active area diameter. Storage and operating temperature ranges from -55 degrees to 100 degrees C.

Opto Diode's new ODD-5W featuring TO-5 flat window packaging is ideal for applications in medical instrumentation, industrial photo control and optical instrumentation.
