PCI Waveform Digitizer features 125 MS/s sampling rate.

Press Release Summary:

Occupying one half-length PCI slot, 16-bit Model ATS660® uses FPGA-based digital electronics for control and data processing. It offers 2 simultaneous analog inputs that can each be sampled at rates up to 125 MS/s, providing signal-to-noise ratio in excess of 73 dB. Each channel can have up to 128 Megasamples of on-board acquisition memory buffer. Dual Port Acquisition Memory allows transfer of acquired data to PC memory without having to stop acquisition session.

Original Press Release:

Alazartech Introduces World's Fastest 16-Bit PCI Digitizer with 125 MS/S Sampling Rate and Dual Port Memory

Montreal, Canada (June 26, 2006) AlazarTech, a manufacturer of high performance, low cost PC Based Instruments, today announced the release of ATS660®, the world's fastest 16 bit PCI waveform digitizer designed for OEMs and R&D customers involved in RF signal analysis, biomedical imaging, ultrasonics, OCT, radar, lidar etc.

ATS660® offers two simultaneous analog inputs that can each be sampled at rates up to 125 MS/s (one 16 bit 125 MSPS ADC per channel), providing Signal to Noise Ratio in excess of 73 dB. Each channel can have up to 128 Megasamples of on-board acquisition memory buffer. The unit occupies only one half-length PCI slot.

ATS660® features Dual Port Acquisition Memory that allows transfer of acquired data to PC memory without having to stop the acquisition session. To the best of our knowledge, no other waveform digitizer manufacturer offers Dual Port Memory.

"With the ATS660, customers not only get the fastest and highest quality 16 bit data acquisition system, they also get the ability to transfer data to PC memory at very high speed without having to stop the acquisition", stated Muneeb Khalid, President of AlazarTech. "This, combined with FPGA customization for filtering, FFT etc., allows OEMs to deploy systems immediately, without having to build their own hardware".

ATS660® PCI digitizers use FPGA-based digital electronics for control and data processing. AlazarTech's proprietary HyperDisP® display technology allows the full 128 Megasamples long record to be displayed on a computer screen in a matter of seconds - an improvement of many orders of magnitude compared to the competition.

The on-board FPGA can also be customized for OEMs. Customization can include simple control functions, such as extra triggers or trigger enables, simple mathematical functions, such as averaging, and even complex DSP functions such as FIR filters, demodulation and FFT.

OEMs can integrate the ATS660® PCI digitizers into their own systems very easily using the Windows XP/2000/98SE compatible ATS-SDK Software Development Kit. This SDK includes sample programs written in C/C++ and VisualBASIC. A high performance LabVIEW® VI, called ATS-VI, is also available. A Linux driver, ATS-Linux, is also available and supports kernel version up to 2.6.

About AlazarTech
AlazarTech, headquartered in Montreal, Canada, provides high performance, low cost PC Based Instruments and software for customers involved in building OEM products, manufacturing test systems and research and development.

AlazarTech was founded in 2003 by Muneeb Khalid who was the original founder of Gage Applied Sciences Inc., a pioneer in PC Based Instrumentation. That company was sold to Tektronix Inc. in 2000.

While AlazarTech manufactures some of the fastest PCI digitizers on the market, speed alone is not the differentiating factor. AlazarTech concentrates on providing usability features for its PCI digitizers that make them very easy to integrate into real-world OEM applications such as ultrasonic testing, medical imaging and radar signal analysis.

AlazarTech also works with selected OEMs to customize its products based on customer requirements.

The company's line of ATS PCI digitizers have been recognized by leading European, Asian and North American OEMs as being superior in quality to other devices on the market.

The company's products have found applications in industries such as medical imaging, metal inspection, automotive and semiconductor test.

AlazarTech sells its products directly in North America, and internationally through a distribution network.
