World's Smallest Oscillator Now Available from Fox

Fort Myers, FL, December 2002 - Fox Electronics, America's leading supplier of frequency control products, has introduced the world's smallest oscillator, measuring only 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.2 mm. The new F330 Series is half the length of previous oscillator models, which typically measure 3.2 mm x 5.0 mm x 1.2 mm. Due to the significantly reduced footprint of the new oscillators, the F330 Series is ideal for applications where size is critical, such as in the wireless, portable, and handheld markets.

The 3.3 V HCMOS oscillators are available in frequency stabilities of ±100, ±50, ±25, and ±20 ppm and in frequency ranges from 1.8 to 50.0 MHz (1.8 to 32.0 MHz at 20 mA; 32.0 to 50.0 MHz at 25 mA). Standard operating temperature for the series is -10°C to 70°C (-14°F to 158°F), with extended temperature ranges of -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F) available on some models. Output symmetry is 45% to 55% at 50% Vdd over the frequency range.

Pricing for a new F330 oscillator with a stability of ± 100 ppm and a frequency of 25 MHz starts at $1.82 per unit in quantities of 10,000. Delivery is 10 weeks ARO.
