Rexroth's booth will showcase an extensive range of offshore technologies and products
Bosch Rexroth will exhibit May 4-7 in Houston at the 2015 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), in booth 2663, with a comprehensive array of marine and offshore technologies that enable stability, safety and efficiency.
Bosch Rexroth offers an extensive assortment of drive and control technologies and components for marine and offshore applications including construction, production, installation, exploration and more. Attendees can tour Rexroth's OTC booth to interact with a selection of these technologies.
Active heave compensation
Varying sea conditions can often interfere with offshore productivity. Active heave compensators (AHC) enable smooth operations and steady positioning to keep offshore operations going. Bosch Rexroth is a pioneer in this technology, offering numerous AHC system variants for multiple applications. Rexroth systems can compensate for roll, pitch and heave motion caused by waves, providing accurate positioning to maintain steady loads and offering power savings up to 85 percent.
IndraDrive ML large electric drives
Powerful, flexible and intelligent, IndraDrive ML large electric drives help machine manufacturers reduce costs while increasing productivity. With a high power density and a compact design, the modular IndraDrive ML family of megawatt-sized inverters can be application-optimized for energy efficiency and is well-suited for the demands of offshore applications.
Hydraulic winch control
Rexroth's flexible control solution for winch and crane systems is suitable for both simple and complex winch and crane drives and enables designers to generate new systems quickly and flexibly. Additionally, the controller can withstand vibrations and shocks, making it particularly well-suited for offshore applications. Safe, easy and compact, the control solution provides proven technology, field-tested components and reliable software.
Hägglunds CBM hydraulic motors
Powerful and energy efficient, Hägglunds CBM direct drive hydraulic motors deliver 50 percent more torque in a compact package that's half the weight of its predecessor. These robust motors offer a tighter footprint, maximum torque of 2,000 kNm and full torque capabilities from zero speed. Operational in all four quadrants, Hägglunds motors are ideal for boosting productivity in marine and offshore applications.
Bosch Rexroth's booth at OTC will showcase additional technologies for offshore applications, including the following:
Rineer hydraulic motors: High-torque vane motors for optimum power-to-weight ratios and smooth output over a wide speed range
Open Core Engineering: Enables the seamless integration of modern high-level IT programming into machine controls for more customization and functionality
ATEX explosion-proof valves: Designed for safety, longevity and efficiency
Hydraulic filtration: Award-winning filtration systems improve stability and reduce costs, with Rexroth's corresponding Fit4Filter mobile app making it easier than ever to replace filter components
Bosch Security technology: High-end cameras
Large hydraulic cylinders: Designed to reduce total cost of ownership, increase uptime and improve performance in rugged offshore applications
