Press Release Summary:
Designed for JVL MAC050-141, MAC800, and QuickStep motors and SMC75 Controller, OCX-Driver supports programming in LabView, Excel, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual.Net, Delphi, and Borland C++ Builder. Program enables users to read and write register values to and from motors and controller, and addresses special MAC protocol with checksum, inverse byte, register length, and register format.
Original Press Release:
New JVL OCX-Driver - Makes Programming Easy
* MacComm OCX (Ole Custom Controls. Also known as ActiveX controls).
JVL has developed an OCX-driver for JVL MAC050-141, MAC800 and QuickStep motors and Controller SMC75 for use in programming applications in LabView, Excel, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual.Net, Delphi and Borland C++ Builder, etc. The new OCX driver makes it easy to create complex applications in a quick and simple way.
This OCX can be used with Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP and facilitates easy communication with JVL MAC and QuickStep motors and with Controller SMC75.
The new OCX makes it easy to read and write register values from and to the motors and controller. A programmer need not think about opening and closing the RS232 port. Practical communication is controlled entirely by the OCX control. The OCX takes care of the special MAC protocol with checksum, inverse byte, register length and register format. It is only necessary to specify a register number to be read, or a value and the register number of a register to be written to.
JVL's web-site www.jvl.dk illustrates examples that make it even easier for users to begin programming their own applications.
