Steck's newest timesaver, the Rivet Nut Setter, installs both steel and aluminum threaded inserts (rivet nuts) in sheet metal. Works anywhere you need to install a nut with no access to the back side. Examples are: replacing outside rear view mirrors, wiper motors, heater housings, accessories, etc. The Rivet Nut Settler costs far less than traditional setting tools, gets into tight spots, and is extremely fast when used with an air ratchet.
The Rivet Nut Setter is very easy to operate. Extend the Setter Slide. Assemble a bolt, washer and rivet nut on the Setter. Tighten the Setter Slide bolt to set the rivet nut. The steel rod holds hold the Setter preventing rotation.
