Non-Contacting Rotary Sensor has high EMC tolerance.

Press Release Summary:

Unaffected by static or dynamic shaft loads up to 20 N in radial and axial directions, RSC sensor provides protection to IP 65 standard. Custom circuitry performs field orientation detection and filtering while providing analog output proportional to angular position. Independent linearity is rated at less than ±0.5%, and electrical measurement angle ranges from 30 to 180 deg. Operation is unaffected at up to 100 V/m of EMC interference.

Non-Contacting Rotary Position Sensor

Southborough, MA-- Novotechnik introduces the RSC series of non-contacting rotary sensors. Measurement angle is determined by detecting variation in the orientation of a magnetic field due to a magnet attached to the shaft. Custom circuitry performs field orientation detection and filtering while providing an analog output that is proportional to angular position.

The RSC series performance is unaffected by static or dynamic shaft loads of up to 20 N in both radial and axial directions. RSC sensors are designed to operate in extreme industrial environments and provide protection to the IP 65 standard.

The series provides independent linearity of <±0.5%. Electrical measurement angle ranges from 30 degrees to 180 degrees. RSC sensors provide a lifespan of more than 50 million revolutions.

The sensor series has high EMC tolerance; operation is unaffected at up to 100V/m of EMC interference. The RSC operates in an environment of -40 to 125°C. The elongated slots on the housing allow easy mounting.
