Original Press Release:

Alliance Rubber Company has Switched Gears to Provide Products for the Nation’s First Responders

Alliance Rubber Company has switched gears to provide much needed rubber strips to secure plastic face shields and surgical masks.

[Hot Springs, Ark, April 2020] - Personal protective equipment (otherwise known as PPE) is in short supply across the country. To further complicate matters, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a shortage of elastic and other goods coming to the U.S. leaving manufacturers of PPE seeking alternatives. That’s where Alliance comes in. They have joined the efforts of the country’s top manufacturers to contribute to the cause.

This collaborative effort sweeping the nation seeks to engage manufacturers and identify those who are interested in repurposing their current operations to produce some of the most in-demand products in the fight against COVID-19, especially products for the health care industry. Alliance Rubber Company’s first joint production project was introduced through their distributor network and presented an opportunity to work with a major auto manufacturer in Detroit. This new collaboration is projected to increase the production of face masks tenfold over the following days from 100,000 per week to 1,000,000 per week.

While no one knows when this shortage will end, Alliance will continue using their resources to help bring a solution.
