(June 24, 2019) – OPEN MIND Technologies, a leading developer of CAD/CAM software solutions worldwide, has announced it will be GROB's exclusive CAM partner at 5-AXiS LiVE!, a GROB Technology Event featuring eight GROB partners. OPEN MIND will feature the latest release of its advanced hyperMILL® CAM software (version 2019.2), offering significant advantages when 5-Axis machining. Two parts programmed with hyperMILL® will be showcased at the event, including a complex aerospace component and mold.

A new 5-axis Prismatic fillet finishing function in hyperMILL® MAXX Machining facilitates the geometry and automatic inclination of barrel cutters to be applied similarly to high feed cutters, using a plunging and pulling movement at extremely high feed rates. hyperMILL® MAXX Machining offers three powerful modules for finishing, roughing and drilling.
