Motion Control Software speeds system commissioning.

Press Release Summary:

CME 2(TM) Copley Motion Explorer Software v3.1 automates tuning and commissioning of servo drives. User enters motor data to get servo loops up and running. Fine tuning can be done with software's oscilloscope and function generator. Autophasing eliminates rewire-and-try-again of encoder, Halls, and motor phases. CME 2 automatically compensates for crossed phases. With setup and phasing complete, drive parameters are stored in amplifier's non-volatile flash memory.

Motion Control Software Speeds System Commissioning

Second generation Copley Motion Explorer (CME 2(TM)) software abolishes "rewire and try again" system commissioning with sophisticated auto tuning and auto phasing algorithms

Canton, MA, May 13, 2003-Copley Controls announces the firm's second generation Copley Motion Explore (CME 2(TM)) for automating the tuning and commissioning of servo drives.

CME 2(TM) removes the pain of initial brushless motor startup. Current loop tuning is automatic. Simply enter motor data and all servo loops are up and running. Fine tune with CME2's powerful oscilloscope and function generator. Best yet, activate autophasing and the "rewire and try" of encoder, Halls and motor phases is eliminated. CME2 automatically compensates for crossed phases. With setup and phasing complete, drive parameters are stored in the amplifier's non-volatile flash memory.
