Harrisburg, PA - The new Modular Managed Switch from Phoenix Contact makes industrial Ethernet set-up easy while providing maximum options. This new addition to the Factory Line family requires no complex IT programming. Simply plug in the needed modules, configure the browser-based interface, and the expandable switch is ready. With a head station and two side-by-side expansion modules, the modular managed switch (MMS) allows for expansion from 2 to 24 ports. Front or bottom cable access options provide unique distributed Ethernet capability in small junction boxes or panels.
Simplified point-and-click diagnostics combined with intuitive LED indicators enable plant floor staff to easily install or perform ongoing device and network checks. Wire speed switched Ethernet features meet high performance application needs.
Like other Factory Line family products, the MMS was designed specifically for the unique demands of rugged industrial use. Depending on the environment, the user can choose twisted pair, glass fiber, polymer or HCS cables for a flexible connection. The MMS is designed with vibration-proof push-pull locking in accordance to the RJ-45 standard. Additional functions including Web Based Management and Simple Network Management Protocol make configuration, setup and diagnostics easy.
