Rittal's TS8 Type 3R Modular Enclosures Provide Economical Protective Solutions
SPRINGFIELD, OH, June 24, 2005 - Rittal Corporation is announcing its new TS8 Type 3R enclosures which will be offered as standard off-the-shelf, economical solutions for indoor and outdoor protective needs. Meeting UL and cUL requirements, these modular enclosures are ideal for outdoor industrial applications, including switchgear, power generation and wastewater. With outstanding design versatility, these enclosures meet Type 3R ratings by providing protection against rain, falling dirt, sleet and snow.
Designed with a symmetrical 16-fold dual tubular frame for industrial-grade strength and stability, the TS8 Type 3R is completely modular with flexible design features such as: multiple installation levels to maximize internal space; baying capability on all sides; and limitless door and sidewall mounting options. The TS8 Type 3R will also offer a vented door as an accessory option. An optional rain canopy solar shield that can be added to the top of the TS8 is also available.
The TS8 Type 3R enclosures can be joined together in the field using standard off-the-shelf Rittal baying kits, while maintaining their protective UL Type 3R rating. This option will further enhance the cost savings to customers who would normally be required to seek special design services from a manufacturer to maintain the Type 3R rating.
