Warwick, RI, January 2004 - Schroff®, the global leader in electronic enclosure solutions, now offers cost-effective 19" cabinets with aesthetic styling that provide high durability and versatility. The mid-size Minirack cabinets and the full size Eurorack cabinets, used in offices, computer rooms, and other indoor environments, are ideal for packaging electronics in a variety of applications in the security, medical, test and measurement, laboratory, and datacom industries. The visually appealing design of the new cabinets also makes them ideal for the display of electronic components and enclosures.

Both the Eurorack and Minirack incorporate a self-supporting inner frame construction with an aluminum die cast top and bottom bolted to four extruded aluminum uprights. This design provides a lightweight and stylish modular electronic equipment cabinet with exceptional strength and durability. The Minirack and Eurorack cabinets can hold up to 440 lbs (200 kg) or 880 lbs (399 kg) respectively. The open die cast top and bottom facilitate cable management and cooling, making the cabinets an ideal solution for raised floor installations.

The cabinets meet ANSI/EIA RS 310-D standard for 19" electronics. Features include removable side panels and/or doors for easy access from any side. The cabinets' doors, side panels, and top/bottom covers come prepared for GND/earth connections.

The Minirack features an optional recessed equipment mounting of either 1.30" (33 mm) or 2.36" (60 mm) at the front and rear, and comes in heights from 6U to 34U, adjustable in 1U increments. It can also be wall-mounted. The cost-effective Eurorack 19" incorporates an integral front flange that provides for 19" mounting in a fixed recessed position 2.36" (60 mm) from the front and rear. The Eurorack Universal option increases flexibility by enabling users to mount 19" equipment in 1" (25 mm) increments, recessed from the front and rear of the cabinet. The cabinet is available in heights from 20U to 47U, also adjustable in 1U increments, and offers depths from 23.6" (600 mm) to a maximum of 35.43" (900 mm) in 1" (25 mm) increments.

Both the Minirack and Eurorack series can be assembled to order and accommodate custom cutouts and a variety of modifications including custom colors and silk screening. A variety of accessories including doors, bases, casters, equipment shelves, and side-by-side kits are available for both the Minirack and Eurorack cabinets. Thermal options include a top mounted, low profile fan tray that provides 300 cfm to 900 cfm of airflow and requires no extra mounting space or additional cabinet height.
