Mist System supresses dust in open air sites.

Press Release Summary:

Fog Cannon(TM) provides jet of air, water, and additive mist to provide dust control over bulk material handling sites such as stockpiles, reclaims, railcar dumps, and blasting sites. Fan and plug-free nozzles propel 77 to 110 micron particles in mist that agglomerates airborne solids and prevents escape of fugitive dust. Depending on model, it projects mist up to 800 ft, suppressing dust in areas up to 1 million sq ft. System can be used with water alone.

Martin Engineering Introduces Martin(R) Fog Cannon(TM) Dust Suppression System

To improve dust control at open-air bulk material handling sites like plant stockpile/reclaim operations, railcar dumps, quarry blasting sites, and bulk handling terminals, Martin Engineering (Neponset, Illinois) has introduced the MARTIN® FOG CANNON(TM) Dust Suppression System.

The MARTIN® FOG CANNON(TM) Dust Suppression System uses a high powered fan and patented plug-free nozzles to propel a continuous "jet" of 77 to 110 micron particles in an air/water/additive mist that agglomerates airborne solids and prevents the escape of fugitive dust. It provides effective dust management in difficult-to-control "open-air" settings where conventional dust suppression and collection systems are ineffective.

The MARTIN® FOG CANNON(TM) Dust Suppression System provides an effective dust control mist of a wide area with a range of up to 800 feet (250 m), depending on model. This provides effective suppression of areas of up to one million square feet (130,000 m²).

Designed for use with chemical additives for improved dust suppression or residual dust binding, the FOG CANNON(TM) System can be used with water alone. With its air/water/additive mist, the MARTIN® FOG CANNON(TM) System has a low rate of moisture addition, preventing degradation of material and washdown of stockpiles.

The MARTIN® FOG CANNON(TM) Dust Suppression System is custom-engineered to suit application conditions from a base of five models with options including permanent or portable mounts and manual, automatic, and radio remote controls.
