Pittsford, New York. PicoServ(TM) is a new miniature web server range that allows quick development for machines requiring remote I/O capabilities. PicoServ(TM) PP1001 is an off-the-shelf, modular system that can be assembled to provide everything needed to enable an embedded Internet web server to be integrated into many types of equipment, providing remote control and remote access via the Web.
The high functionality of the PicoServ(TM) PP1001 server - including dynamic web pages and support for SNMP - lends itself to many application possibilities, including industrial automation, remote sensing, remote control, SCADA building control, and home automation.
The PicoServ(TM) range of 3" x 2" boards can be chosen and stacked to give the exact functionality required, and, in addition to the miniature web server module, include digital and analog I/O, to act as an Internet co-processor designed to provide a web browser based interface in a small space, at low power, at low cost and with minimal design effort.
The PicoServ(TM) PP1001 web-server module features a fully integrated 10baseT Ethernet interface and takes care of all network interfacing and communications protocols, web page storage and provides a variety of simple interfaces to the host system or equipment. Dynamic web pages are supported through a simple HTML interface, enabling real time data to be both displayed and updated from a standard web browser.
Uniquely, another board in the PicoServ(TM) system features an SMS gateway which extends monitoring and control of equipment or systems connected to PicoServ(TM) PP1001 to any GSM mobile phone using text messaging. Now you can test and service your equipment using a cell-phone!
