Model 7240C Piezoelectric Accelerometer Offers High Frequency Vibration Measurement

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif - June 2, 2003 - Endevco today introduced the Model 7240C, a miniature, lightweight, piezoelectric accelerometer that provides high frequency vibration measurement for a variety of automotive, aerospace and OEM applications. The sensor provides both high seismic resonance and ruggedness utilizing a unique design. It can operate flawlessly in high temperatures ranging from -67°F to +500°F (-55°C to +260°C). It is hermetically sealed to prevent environmental contamination.

The Model 7240C features Endevco's patented PIEZITE® Type P-8 crystal element. PIEZITE offers numerous benefits, including low base-strain sensitivity, wide bandwidth, and excellent output stability over time. Additionally, the Model 7240C's miniature M3 receptacle and light weight (4.8 gm) eliminates mass loading effects. The accelerometer is electrically isolated from ground if used with one of the supplied isolated mounting studs. A special low-noise coaxial cable ensures error-free operation. As a self-generating device, the Model 7240C requires no external power source for operation.

Endevco Signal Conditioner Models 133, 2775B, 2771B, or OASIS 2000 Computer-Controlled System are recommended for use with the Model 7240C.
