Edax Releases Enhanced Version of Genesis 3.5 Microanalysis Software
Mahwah, NJ - EDAX, Inc., a leader in X-ray microanalysis, X-ray fluorescence and electron diffraction instrumentation, has introduced the next generation of its GENESIS EDS Microanalysis software.
"The new version of GENESIS 3.5 software, which includes many new features and enhancements, supports our new digital pulse processing (DPP II) hardware," explains Del Redfern, Micro Characterization Tools Product Manager for EDAX. "Our GENESIS program is the industry's leading microanalysis software. Many of the new features and enhancements of existing features result from the positive feedback we received from current GENESIS users," he adds.
"Among the many new features are multiple spectrum overlays, a new mapping view mode, which enables up to 36 images to be displayed, and a new stub view mode for easy review of multi-field maps. The DPP II hardware has increased the throughput by up to 40% and can handle input rates of over 150,000 counts per second," notes Redfern.
