Yasda's New YBM-10T Precision Center Quickly and Accurately Machines Heavy Workpieces.
Elk Grove Village, IL (August 9, 2002) - With the introduction of their YBM-10T Precision Center, Yasda continues to push the envelope on accuracy. This new precision center, part of the YBM Series of highly precise machines, Yasda effectively machines large, heavy components with great speed and accuracy.
A range of design enhancements contributes to the YBM-10T's performance capabilities. Through the use of twin ball screws on each axis (X, Y, Z), high-speed positioning of 45m/min. is achieved - without sacrificing high-precision positioning or the structural rigidity of the machine. This twin ball screw and twin servo drive system also improves the vertical movement and straightness of the head stock. The spindle rides in the center of the two ball screws for accurate and stable spindle movement.
A large diameter axial/radial combines roller bearing on the B-axis allows components of up to 5 tons to be rotated and positioned at high speeds. To position these components at speeds up to 45m/min. Yasda's newly developed hybrid system features load sensing and surface pressure compensation functions on the slide way. The YBM-10T is especially capable of machining box-shaped components.
Yasda's MiPS, an advanced version of their original and well-reputed Yasda MASCOT mini machine control system, further adds to the YBM-10T's accuracy.
