New Fox Electronics XpressO LVDS VCXOs Offer 2.5-Volt operation; Industry Standard 7 mm x 5 mm Package Size; Expanded Frequency Range
Fort Myers, Fla. November 3, 2008 - Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, has expanded its XpressO oscillator series to include a 2.5-volt LVDS VCXO version with an industry standard 7 mm x 5 mm package size and a frequency range from 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz.
The new FVXO-LC72 oscillators are ideal for use in any application requiring an oscillator, including SONET, Ethernet, storage area network, broadband access, microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment and fiber channel applications.
The cost-effective Fox XpressO oscillator series is a breakthrough in configurable frequency control solutions. These oscillators and VCXOs utilize a family of proprietary application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox, with a key focus on noise reduction technologies as well as significantly lower levels of jitter.
The FVXO-LC72 employs a third order Delta Sigma Modular (DSM) to reduce noise to levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. The state-of-the-art technology utilized in these oscillators enable the selection of the output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.
The LVDS VCXO version offers shorter lead times and is guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days maximum for production quantities.
The LVDS VCXOs offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range (APR) of +50 ppm and operating temperatures of -20°C to +70°C or -40°C to +85°C.
These oscillators feature industry standard 7 mm x 5 mm packaging, including footprint and pin-out; are fully RoHS compliant; have a tri-state enable/disable feature; and are constructed with a gold over nickel termination finish.
