Graco's New Fluid Automation LSR Machine Used for Make-A-Wish Fundraiser

User friendly equipment offers easy start-up and outstanding precision in dispensing

North Canton, OH – Graco Inc. (NYSE:GGG), a world leader in fluid handling products and systems, announces that its Fluid Automation F4-5 two-component silicone pumping system, which will be released to the market in June 2015, was used as a part of the collective Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Central and Northern Florida’s promotional wristband production effort at the NPE 2015 show in March. The wristbands were produced on the show floor, and were made available to show attendees as part of a fundraising effort for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The effort was sponsored by Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, Inc., Boy Machines, Kipe Molds and Graco.

“The Make-A-Wish bands came out extremely well, with a vibrant consistency of color, thanks to the Graco Fluid Automation F4-5 system’s precise ratio control, as well at Shin-Etsu’s KEG-2000 material,” said Katie Brockhaus, Marketing Manager at Graco. “The fundraiser was very successful, and the new F4-5 system was met with a great deal of excitement from NPE show attendees.”

Graco acquired Fluid Automation in 2012, and is dedicated to delivering on the combination of Fluid Automation’s extensive experience in the LSR market with a backbone of top-quality engineering resources from Graco. Replacing two previous systems, the new Graco Fluid Automation F4-5 system offers better ratio control for mixing two-component silicone and two additive color streams at .5 to 5% ratios. This high-precision dosing system provides far greater measurement resolution than previous or competing models, resulting in material savings for the end-user.

Additionally, the Graco Fluid Automation F4-5 machine’s design includes a reduced footprint for greater efficiency in floor space and proprietary Graco Control Architecture™ (GCA) controls offering ease of use unmatched elsewhere in the industry.

“GCA translates into easy startup and operation for the end user. The GCA controls are more user friendly thereby saving time, service and support requirements,” said David Bordwell, Graco’s Global Product Manager.
