New Low-Cost Alphasonic Level Transmitter Provides Accurate and Reliable Liquid Measurement from 0.3 to 10 Feet
Ideal for use with a broad range of OEM and process applications
Los Alamitos, CA (May 7, 2002) -- Flowline's new low-cost, two-wire, LA12 Cricket(TM) level transmitter is mounted through the top wall of the tank and provides continuous liquid measurement up to 10 feet. Automatic temperature compensation is provided over the entire range. The device is ideal for use with general-purpose day storage tanks, process vessels and drums. Accuracy is ±1% of span. Compact size and 1" mounting threads facilitate restricted space installation. The transmitter is not influenced by changing liquid conductivity or dielectric values. Powered with 12-36 VDC, signal output is 4-20 mA. Additional features include an LED power status indicator and CE compliance.
Employing innovative ultrasonic technology, microprocessor-based electronics, and rugged compact design, the Cricket(TM) is best applied in non-coating or scaling type liquids including clean water, acid and chemical solutions. The PP enclosure is rated NEMA 4X (IP65) with a ½" conduit connector. An acoustic wave guide, available in PP, PVC or PVDF, reduces the measurement space down to ½" while separating foam from the point of measurement. Wave guides may be cut to size and spanned in the field. The Cricket(TM) is fully compatible with Flowline's relay control, indication and telemetry products.
