Perkinelmer Introduces Two New Products to the Aculed® Family
Fremont, CA - May 3, 2007 - PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, a global technology leader in specialty lighting, optical detection technologies, and digital imaging, today announced the availability of the ACULED® VHL(TM) (Very High Lumen) and ACULED DYO(TM) (Design Your Own), the newest additions to its growing ACULED family of standard and custom LED solutions. The products are debuting at Lightfair International 2007, May 8-10 in New York City.
The new ACULED VHL is offered standard in monochromatic (UV, Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, IR) as well in an RGBY (red-green-blue-yellow) version. With a luminous flux of up to 325 lumens, the ACULED VHL offers outstanding brightness, improved luminous efficacy and all the benefits of the newly enhanced ACULED platform including its compact, easy-to-assemble design; long lifetime and improved thermal management. The thermal resistance of the ACULED VHL package can be as low as 4.5 K/W, depending on the chip configuration. In addition, each chip features a separate anode and cathode, enabling the chips to be driven individually, thus increasing flexibility around electrical layout.
