Schunk Introduces New Line of Lathe Chucks

MORRISVILLE, NC. . .SCHUNK, INC., introduces a complete line of power chucks to North American manufacturers. Recognized worldwide for superior performance and accuracy, SCHUNK Power Chucks have been previously distributed in the United States through an agreement with SMW Systems. With over 30,000 chucks in operation with models of THW, NCW, ROTA, SCHUNK Power Chucks will now be available from SCHUNK's manufacturing plant in North Carolina and their authorized distributor network. For existing chucks in the U.S. market, spare parts and service will also be provided through SCHUNK USA.

The SCHUNK line is lead by the THW Quick Jaw Change Series. Featuring a wedge-bar serration mechanism, THW Series provides less than one-minute jaw change, repeatability to .0006" (.015 mm) TIR and superior gripping forces to 6,000 RPM.

Also available will be SCHUNK's Large Bore Power chucks, designed specifically to meet the demanding requirements of the oil field market. With thru-hole bores to 560 mm (22"), SCHUNK Large Bore chucks deliver superior gripping force and repeatability.

All SCHUNK Power Lathe Chucks are case hardened and ground to deliver superior, long-life performance. In addition to power chucks, SCHUNK will also offer a complete line of accessories including Steady Rests and the most complete selection of chuck jaws available in the U.S. market.
