Laser Measurement Head Measures Energy Down to Picojoule Range
Wilmington, MA December 2003... Ophir Optronics, Inc. announces the introduction of a new Photodiode Energy head, the PD10-pJ. The PD10-pJ is recommended for the measurement of extremely low laser energies down to Picojoules. The PD10-pJ is capable of accurately measuring laser energies from a low of 10pJ up to 100nJ.
The PD10-pJ can measure pulse rates up to 4000Hz. The PD-10pJ is compatible with Ophir's Nova Handheld, LaserStar, Dual Channel LaserStar, and the Orion-PE Handheld smart displays. Ophir's smart displays are true plug-and-play instruments that can be plugged into any of more than 70 Ophir smart Thermopile, Pyroelectric and Photodiode detector heads.
Other features of the PD10-pJ smart head include a Spectral Response from 200nm - 1100nm, a maximum pulse width of 50ns. The maximum average power is 0.5W, with a damage threshold of 0.1/cm². The calibration accuracy of the PD10-pJ is ± 5%.
