Metabo Introduces New Jig Saw/Reciprocating Saw Blade Lines
West Chester, PA, November 2004 - Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced five new lines of jig saw and reciprocating saw blades.
Metabo now offers an array of new jig saw blades in four lines: Classic, an economical and reliable choice; Professional, for quick, clean and accurate cutting; Pioneer, quick and clean in materials of all thicknesses; and Expert, for special applications and materials. The new lines include blades for cutting wood, for woods and laminates, wood and metal, wood with nails, ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals, plastics, plexiglass and ceramics. The new Metabo jig saw blades range in length from 2" to 6", offer a comprehensive selection of cutting edge and metal configurations for every application from rough cuts to fine work, and feature a bayonet fitting. Cutting capacity has been increased to 5 ¼" in wood and 1 3/8" in non-ferrous metal.
Metabo also now offers reciprocating saw blades in four lines: Classic, Expert and Professional, as well as Flexible, which features shatter-proof, flexible blades. As with the jig saw blades, Metabo offers a wide selection of blade materials, edges and types for a variety of cutting situations. The blades range in length from 4" to 12", and feature a ½" universal fitting.
The new blades are manufactured to fit most jig saws and reciprocating saws and are color-coded for easy selection. The blade shanks are color-matched by application: yellow for wood, blue for metal and black for special applications.
