Interface Software uses DataMAX II data acquisition recorder.

Press Release Summary:

DataMAX II/4000 interface allows users to operate/program multiple 4000 chassis from one operating point. It gives end users access to data recording parameters, who can translate 4000 module settings into DataMAX II calibration settings. Signal conditioning parameters can be saved as part of test sequence and downloaded for automated test setup. Interface provides 90 kHz bandwidth synchronous data recording with all 4000 signal conditioning modules.

Original Press Release:

New Interface Software Integrates the Wideband Capability of the DATAMAX II Instrumentation Recorder with the Programmable Features of the Dynamics 4000 Signal Conditioning Series

Introduction of this new software interface combines the solid data recording capabilities of the DataMAX II with the versatility of the Dynamics 4000 signal conditioners. This fully integrated system allows for easy reading and quick setup of parameters, and automated system calibration to engineering units.

Santa Barbara, CA - July 8, 2002 - R.C. Electronics now offers the capability of programming its highly successful "Test Friendly(TM)" Dynamics 4000 signal conditioner series using the robust DataMAX II data acquisition recorder. This newly designed interface allows the user to operate multiple 4000 chassis from a single operating point. The clear advantage of the DataMAX II/4000 interface software allows the end user access to vital data recording parameters at a glance.

Test setup time is greatly reduced when using the DataMAX II recorder in combination with the 4000 signal conditioning chassis. Prior to a recording session the end user can translate 4000 module settings into DataMAX II calibration settings. Alternatively, all signal conditioning parameters can be saved as part of the test sequence and downloaded for automated test setup.

Easy scrolling between different modules allows the end-user to quickly select a particular module, and change one or more parameter settings. Each parameter setting has a drop-down menu that allows quick selection of values associated with that particular module. Current settings can be saved in a parameter file and retrieved at a later time. Parameters that are quickly and easily changed include: Channel and Model, Pre-Amp settings, Gain/Range, Calibration, Overload, Low Pass Filter, Excitation, Feedback and Bridge.

This winning DataMAX II/4000 interface provides high bandwidth (90KHz) synchronous data recording with the entire family of 4000 signal conditioning modules. These modules cover the entire range of signal conditioning from Thermocouple (4120), Automated Strain (4078), Frequency to Voltage conversion (4636), Automated Accelerometer/Data Amplifiers (4290), all the way to High Gain AC Amplifiers (4110).

Using the DataMAX II/4000 software interface eliminates the need to maintain two separate systems for data acquisition and signal conditioning. All the necessary recording and reviewing capability is now streamlined in one fully integrated standalone system.
