Indexing Plungers offer T-handle for grip and orientation.
Press Release Summary:
Series GN 817.4 Steel or Stainless Steel Indexing Plungers with T-Handle, with and without Rest Position, come in metric sizes. While shape suits instances subject to greater unlocking forces, design of these RoHS-compliant plungers promotes visual orientation of indexing position of Type C version (version with rest position). Steel version features body and plunger pin of steel with black oxide finish. Stainless steel version has body and plunger pin of Series 303 stainless steel.
Original Press Release:
J.W. Winco, Inc. Indexing Plungers Have T-Handle for Grip, Orientation
NEW BERLIN, WI - J.W. Winco, Inc., a leading supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers series GN 817.4 Steel or Stainless Steel Indexing Plungers with T-Handle, with and without Rest Position, in metric sizes.
These RoHS-compliant plungers are similar in design to GN 817, but have a T-handle instead of a round knob. This shape is advantageous when greater unlocking forces occur. It also allows better visual orientation of the indexing position of the Type C version (version with rest position). Type C GN 817.4 indexing plungers are used in applications where the plunger must not protrude continually. In that case the knob is retracted and afterwards turned by 90°. A notch keeps the plunger in this position.
In the steel version, body and plunger pin are steel with black oxide finish. In the stainless steel version, body and plunger pin are European Standard No. 1.4305 stainless steel (American Standard Series 303), with the plunger pin also chemically nickel-plated. The T-handle is technopolymer plastic (Polyamid PA), and is not removable. Lock nut is steel or stainless steel, ISO 8675 (DIN 439).
J.W. Winco offers an extensive selection of inch and metric size adjustable levers, cabinet U-handles, plastic and steel hinges and locking mechanisms, revolving and retractable handles, hand wheels, hand cranks, tube connection and conveyor components, inch and metric construction tubing, shock absorption mounts, leveling mounts, hand knobs, spring, ball and indexing plungers, jig, fixture and fastening components, retaining magnet assemblies, toggle clamps, metric casters and wheels, universal joints, oil sight glasses, and metric tools for the industrial and commercial equipment industries.
