SPECTROTILT(TM) RS232 Electronic Inclinometer

The SPECTROTILT(TM) RS232 Electronic Inclinometer from Spectron, Hauppauge, NY, combines a single axis electrolytic tilt sensor with custom digital electronics and software. By incorporating on-board linearity and temperature correction, an absolute accuracy of +/-0.3 degrees is achieved over the +/-60° angular sensing range. The angular range, scale factor / resolution, and number of readings internally averaged (ie: filtering), can all be custom tailored to satisfy most applications. The viscosity of the fluid inside the sensing element can also be altered, to decrease susceptibility in high vibration environments. Other features include a -40° - +80°C operating temperature range, 12 bit RS232 output, 0.03425 degree/count resolution, ESD and EMI protection, hermetically sealed sensing element, potted electronics, and an aluminum housing.
