I/O Blocks facilitate design of DeviceNet networks.

Press Release Summary:

ODVA-approved connectivity products include 4 machine-mount DeviceNet(TM) I/O modules, available in 16 input-only, 16 point-configurable, 8-input/8-output, and 8 output-only models, that allow design and construction of virtually any DeviceNet network. Each has status LEDs; high-density inputs that enable use of splitters to double input count; and full-metal, low-profile housing that survives rough treatment and keeps cables protected.

Balluff Introduces Advanced I/O Blocks as Part of Complete DeviceNet Connectivity Package

Florence, KY (October 2007): Balluff has introduced a completely new family of four machine mount DeviceNet I/O modules. The I/O blocks are part of a new line of ODVA -approved connectivity products that allow design and construction of virtually any DeviceNet(TM) network.

Break-through Design Machine-Mount I/O Blocks

The heart of Balluff's network component system is the series of new design machine-mount I/O blocks. These blocks include 16 input-only, 16 point configurable, 8 input/8 output, and 8 output-only models. All blocks come with a complement of innovative features that Balluff customers have been requesting. These include robust, full metal low profile housings that can survive rough treatment and still keep cables protected, high density inputs enabling the use of splitters to double the input count, easily accessible set up switches to make addressing and setting the baud rate fast and simple, and large, highly visible status LEDs.

Full DeviceNet Connectivity Line

Balluff's DeviceNet connectivity line includes scores of cables, splitters, and tees that can be used in any DeviceNet(TM) network. Balluff's multi product system approach provides the means to easily construct topologies such as Trunk and Drop, Daisy Chain, Star, and Mixed Topology networks.

Background

In addition to the four I/O modules, Balluff connectivity products include Mini Trunk and Micro Drop cables, each available in straight and right angle versions, Double Ended Female and Mini to Micro Male styles, Single and Double Ended Open Styles, and Bulk Cable. Also available are Field Attachables, Pass-Thru Tee connectors, Terminators, Gender Changers, Diagnostic and Power Tap Tees, Multiport Drop Boxes, Receptacles, Power Tap, Bus Extender, and Diagnostic Tool. Auxiliary Power connectivity includes Single Ended and Double Ended Mini cabling, Power Tee and Field Attachables, Receptacles, and accessories.
