Hipot Tester is fully microprocessor controlled.

Press Release Summary:

Model 2503 DC provides test voltages up to 5,000 Vdc and adjustable trip currents up to 3.00 mA. Utilizing remote inputs, user can send signals for Test and Reset to run test cycle remotely. User is able to monitor instrument remotely for Pass, Fail, and Processing signal outputs. Remote safety interlock must be closed to allow test to start, preventing high voltage from being activated unless safe condition is detected. Unit provides safety agency compliance.

Original Press Release:

Model 2503 is a Fully Microprocessor-Controlled DC Hipot Tester for Safety Agency Compliance

Enhanced Remote Control allows for easy integration into fully automated testing environments.

Lake Forest, Illinois, July 2002 - Announced today by Slaughter Company Inc., is the addition of enhanced remote control to their microprocessor-controlled DC hipot tester, model 2503, which was designed to provide technologically advanced features at an affordable price for safety agency compliance. Microprocessor-control means a simplified user interface, and more reliable and safer instruments, while providing for high-speed, high-volume production line testing.

The addition of an enhanced remote control allows for easy integration into automated applications. Utilizing remote inputs, a user can send signals for Test and Reset to run the test cycle remotely. A user is also able to monitor the instrument remotely for Pass, Fail and Processing signal outputs. In order to enhance operator safety, a remote safety interlock has also been added to the instrument. The interlock, which can be connected to a test guard station, must be closed to allow a test to start. This effectively prevents high voltage from being activated unless a safe condition is detected.

The 2503 provides test voltages up to 5,000 VDC and adjustable trip currents up to 3.00 mA. Additional
Features of the 2503 include:

o Compliance to most UL, CSA, VDE & IEC requirements
o Easy-to-read LED with meter memory
o Electronic ramp and dwell
o Auto shut-down of high voltage upon failure, with audible buzzer and reject light
o No high voltage present during setup
o Display voltage or leakage current present during testing
