High-Visibility FIP/CIP Gaskets provide placement confirmation.

Press Release Summary:

UV/Vis, light-curable, Form-In-Place and Cure-In-Place gasketing resins are formulated with high-visibility black (GA-140-B) and green (GA-140-G) color. Bonding to metals, glass, and plastics, products are resistant to high-temperature and high-moisture environments while maintaining adhesion and flexibility. Shrinkage value reduces stress, while in-line curing allows for increased production speed. Chemical- and moisture-resistant gaskets are formulated to be tack free and flexible.

High-Visibility FIP/CIP Gaskets Provide Placement Confirmation

Excellent Bond Strength to Metals, Glass, and Plastics

Torrington, Connecticut – Dymax has introduced two new UV/Visible light-curable, Form-In-Place and Cure-In-Place gasketing resins.  These resins are formulated with high-visibility black (GA-140-B) and green (GA-140-G) color enabling easy confirmation of correct placement of the gasket.

These products demonstrate excellent bond strength to metals, glass, and most plastics.  They’re typically used in sealing applications on fuel cell plates and stacks, automotive door handle and side-mirror assemblies, and appliance housings, as well as in critical electronic assembly and device applications.  These materials are resistant to high-temperature and high-moisture environments while maintaining superior adhesion and flexibility.  They exhibit low shrinkage, resulting in reduced stress on the fuel cell plate, stack housing, appliance housing, or electronic assembly.

Dymax chemical- and moisture-resistant gaskets are formulated to be tack free, yet soft and flexible, with low outgassing after cure.  They can be dispensed in intricate and complex configurations with the added benefit of in-line curing which allows for increased production speed and reduced inventories.  The materials cure on demand, eliminating the need to rack slow-curing alternatives and the waste associated with poorly fitting or improperly aligned die-cut gaskets.
