DS-HS Hand Held Gas Saws Deliver Power You Need, When You Need It
TULSA, Okla. - September 15, 2005 - Designed to meet 2006 EPA emission requirements, the new Hilti DS-HS Hand Held Gas Saws deliver the power you need, when you need it.
Due to a longer stroke on the piston, the DS-HS Hand Held Gas Saws provide improved performance in deep cuts. A long stroke motor with Smart Power(TM) provides a flat torque power curve to help maintain constant blade speed under load. This means less wear and tear on the operator, the saw and the blade when cutting concrete, brick and block, metal, decking or drywall track.
This next generation of hand held gas saws also feature a carburetor that meets new, stricter 2006 EPA requirements and exhaust baffles with a spark arrestor to help eliminate potential sparks. Additionally, the DS-HS 80 16-inch model is equipped with a stronger supporting arm, greater cutting depth and positive one-belt tensioning.
A sealed triple filtration system with metal main filter helps keep dirt out of the saw's motor, so operators will experience less down time and a longer motor life for greater productivity. The saw's solid steel flanges, which can be reversed for a one-inch or 20-millimeter arbor, eliminate time spent searching for a blade with the right arbor hole and looking for bushings. Its double reinforced guard features a large lock knob, so it's easy to adjust. A digital coil provides easier starts and less flooding, and a redesigned starter assembly provides smoother operation and longer life.
The DS-HS Hand Held Gas Saws feature a narrow body design and the motor is isolated from the rear and side handles to reduce vibration. A top handle allows the operator to use the tool in a variety of positions. Additionally, the saw features a convenient, easy-to-reach on/off switch that shuts off the engine when activated.
