Eritech© Hammerlock Now Available for Parallel-Through Applications and for Larger Sizes
SOLON, Ohio, November, 2004 - The ERITECH® HAMMERLOCK grounding connector joins the grounding conductor to the ground rod with the strike of a hammer. Machined from electrolytic copper, the connection is highly conductive and designed to withstand ground fault currents and lightning transients. ERITECH HAMMERLOCK is UL® Listed (2, 4, 6 solid to 5/8-in. copper or galvanized rod).
A new two-hole version of the patented grounding connector is now available. Designs are available for #6 and #4 solid and are perfect for pad-mounted transformer applications. Additionally, the two-hole version allows for more configurations and easier installation in a ground ring. A larger version of the single-hole ERITECH HAMMERLOCK permits 2/0 stranded to be joined to 5/8-in. and ¾-in. ground rods.
The rugged design of the connector ensures that the highest level of performance is maintained for many years after the connection has been buried in the harsh underground environment. ERITECH® HAMMERLOCK installs three to five times faster than an acorn clamp and offers cost-effective protection for people and equipment. The patented grounding connector has a current carrying capacity greater than that of the conductors being joined.
