Ground Testers are suited for ground rod testing.
Press Release Summary:
Model DET3TD is digital 3-terminal instrument for grounding and bonding tests, and digital 4-terminal Model DET4TD adds resistivity measurement. Products are also available as analog, 3-terminal Model DET3TA and Model DET3TC, which adds current measuring function for ART (Attached Rod Technique) testing capabilities. Rated to IP54, all instruments include voltmeter, measure resistance from 0.01-2000 Ω and test earth voltages to 100 V.
Original Press Release:
The New Family of Megger Ground Testers Offer a Unique Solution to Ground Rod Testing
Megger introduces four ground tester models that comprise a digital 3-terminal instrument (Model DET3TD) for grounding and bonding tests, a digital 4-terminal model that adds resistivity measurement (Model DET4TD), an analog 3-terminal model (Model DET3TA) and a revolutionary new tester that adds a current measuring function for ART (Attached Rod Technique) testing capabilities (Model DET3TC). On-site grounds can be tested separately without having to remove the utility connection with the added ART function. The ART ground testing method is more convenient and significantly reduces testing time as much as 40%.
All models are rated to IP54 making them truly outdoor instruments. The testers are easy to use - a large selector switch makes selection for 2-pole, 3-pole or 4-pole quicker to test - and the design makes the fitting of shorting links to perform 2-pole tests a thing of the past. The instruments also include a voltmeter to enable measurement of ground voltage. The testers can measure resistance from 0.01 ohm to 2000 ohms and earth voltages up to 100V. To allow accurate testing in noisy environments, the instruments are capable of rejecting noise of up to 40V peak to peak.
