Gate and Angle Valves suit high vacuum applications.

Press Release Summary:

Aluminum gate and angle valves are suited for isolation of roughing lines and fore-lines in vacuum processes where high conductance is required. Gate valves (GVA) and angle valves (AVA) range in size from 2-24 in. and are offered with ASA flanges. When loss of power/pneumatic pressure occurs, valves close, isolating vacuum system. During servicing, valves remain in situ for removal of actuator assembly. Optional indicator displays open/closed position.

BOC Edwards Announces Availability of New Valves for High Vacuum Applications

WILMINGTON, MA (Nov. 26, 2002)- BOC Edwards, a leading supplier of vacuum equipment and accessories to the scientific, R&D, industrial, process vacuum and micro-electronics industries, has announced a new line of lightweight aluminum gate and angle valves designed for high vacuum applications. The new valves are well suited for isolation of roughing lines and fore-lines in a vacuum process where high conductance is required.

The gate valves (GVA) and angle valves (AVA) offer a lightweight aluminum design for easier handling. Valve sizes range from 2" to 24" and are offered with ASA flanges; optional flanges are available on request. In a situation where there is loss of power and/or pneumatic pressure, the valve closes, isolating the vacuum system. An optional indicator is available, which provides indication of the open and closed positions. During servicing, the valve remains in situ for the removal of the actuator assembly and minimal spares are required. In addition to the GVA and AVA valves, BOC Edwards offers an extensive range of valves for any vacuum application.
