Protector® Demonstration Hoods are Light-duty Hoods Ideal for Classroom Procedures

Labconco Corporation, Kansas City, Missouri, presents the NEW Protector® Demonstration Hoods which are low profile, light-duty fume hoods designed to provide procedural observation during educational demonstrations.

Tempered safety glass front sash, sides, rear baffle and top offer 360º visibility and provide better fire, scratch and corrosion resistance than acrylic materials. The deep 23" interior easily accommodates a variety of laboratory apparatus. The patented Clean-Sweep(TM) air foil allows air to sweep the work surface for maximum containment and the exclusive upper containment sash foil bleeds air into the enclosure to direct concentrations of contaminants away from the operator's breathing zone. Other features include side-entry air foils, clear rear baffle that pivots downward for cleaning, ergonomic angled sash, and an 8" high sash opening that limits exhaust demand and requires a smaller than typical remote blower.

The Protector Demonstration Hood is 3' wide and requires ducting to a remote blower or connection to the FilterMate(TM) Portable Exhauster, both sold separately. The Hood may be ordered individually or as a Mobile System, which includes a Cart with Work Surface, lower transition adapter and FilterMate Portable Exhauster (for use with two carbon or one carbon and one HEPA filters).
