Volume Flow Measurement of Liquids in Chemical or Process Applications

July 31, 2002, Greenwood, Indiana- The new PROline Prosonic Flow 93P is designed for the volume flow measurement of liquids in chemical or process applications. The Prosonic Flow system operates on the principle of transit time difference; an ultrasonic signal transmitted bidirectionally from one sensor to another. The system is suitable for pipe diameters from 2" to 160" and works well with most pipe materials. The Prosonic Flow 93P system can be used with a variety of liquids, including acid, paint, liquefied gas, and ultrapure water.

The clamp-on sensor attaches directly to the exterior wall of the pipe. With trouble-free installation in difficult to access areas, the Prosonic Flow 93P can be installed or replaced during operation, decreasing down time. Available in three versions, the stainless steel sensors are rated NEMA 6P or IP 67/68. Temperature range for the sensors are from -40 to 340 degrees F (-20 to 340 degrees F for FM approved applications.)

The Prosonic Flow 93 transmitter housing has a NEMA 4X rating. The wall mount unit can be installed in non-hazardous or Class I, Div. 2 (non-incendive) areas. It features a four-line LCD display and "Touch Control" operation with "Quick Setup." It is set up for two-channel measurement at one or two different measuring points.
