With the DIN-rail modules, Baumer's product segment Process Instrumentation offers a wide range of signal converters, power supplies and relays. They are suitable for different industries like food and beverage, pharmaceutics and biotechnology, chemistry and petrochemistry as well as for the use with heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. With the FlexProgrammer 9901, the FlexConv series can be easily configured via PC.

Input, output and supply are mutually galvanically separated in the devices of the FlexConv series. The input signal can be configured for current, voltage, frequency or period. A microprocessor digitalises and processes the input signal. With the FlexConv U/I/f-U/I-Converter, the output signal can be configured for current or voltage signals. The FlexConv U/I/f-Relay is a universal module with two relay outputs; each can be configured to one make or one break contact. Both devices allow an AC or DC voltage supply between 12 and 35V.

A further DIN-rail module offered by Baumer is the Trip Amplifier, which is loop-powered from a 4-20mA signal. The input is protected against polarity and current overload. The output is available with change-over relay function or as an opto-relay-output. Set point and hysteresis are adjustable at the front. The device can be used as limit switch, e.g. connected to a temperature transmitter to control a heating element, or connected to a pressure transmitter to control the pressure in compressors.

To supply the Trip Amplifier, Baumer recommends Power Supply 24VDC/22mA which is available for 115VAC or 230VAC. The alternating voltage is transformed, rectified and stabilised. The low coupling capacity ensures optimal noise suppression. The power supply is suitable for circuits with a power consumption of less than 22mA. If a larger current consumption is required, more power supplies can be connected in parallel.
