Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Filter and Resonator Products Introduced

Orlando, FL - June 26, 2006 - MtronPTI is pleased to announce the addition of a complete line of SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) filters and resonators as part of a broad frequency control and timing products portfolio. The SAW device product offering will focus on custom applications at frequencies of 20 MHz through 2500 MHz as well as a line of standard products. SAW devices are well known as a rugged, low cost means to support a variety of signal processing functions. The application bandwidths can range from as narrow as 0.01% in fractional bandwidth for resonators to as large as 45% for wideband filter requirements. Products are offered in the industry standard ceramic surface mount package styles from 3 x 3 mm2 to 9 x 24.7 mm2 on tape and reel with custom metallic package configurations being offered when required.

Popular applications for MtronPTI's SAW devices include: band pass filters (RF and IF) for spectral shaping with image rejection; delay lines; coded waveform generation; and correlators and resonators for phase noise clean up in synthesizers. SAW devices are a natural extension of MtronPTI's current offering of filter products. This portfolio of capabilities includes crystal filters, LC filters, cavity filters, planar microwave filters and voltage tuning filters.

Paul Dechen, the Vice President of Business Development for MtronPTI commented, "The expansion to SAW devices fit the MtronPTI business strategy of supplying a broad range of frequency control and timing devices to the market place. Our customers continue to seek the opportunity to do business with a one-stop-shop as a key part of their supply chain strategy. By bringing an expanded capability to support these new products, MtronPTI is bringing higher value to our customers in both their engineering departments and for their supply chain management."
