New Fiber Optic, IP Addressable, Online/Offline Switch Offers Individual Switching for All Six Channels



Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new QuickSwitch® Model 6258 All Optic, Online/Offline, 6-Channel Switch with 10 Base-T LAN Telnet Remote. This LC Duplex, Multimode, Fiber Optic Switch allows the user to either connect or disconnect each input or output fiber optic cable to/from its respective input/output fiber optic cable.

This Online/Offline switch offers individual switching control for all 6 channels, utilizing mirror technology with a wavelength of 1300nm. All channels are switched individually and may be controlled either via front panel pushbuttons or remotely using an Ethernet 10-Base-T connection and Telnet commands.

The M6258 is also IP Addressable. Using remote Telnet commands users can also monitor switch status and lockout front panel. Switch ports are transparent to all data and maintain switch position while continuing to pass data during power loss. This desktop unit also has convenient "keyslots" to allow for easy wall mounting.
