Fifth Generation of VS-705 Offers Expanded Ordering Options for Its Most Popular VCSO, Meets Customer Needs for High Frequency Precision Clocking

MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 11 -- Vectron International, a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of Frequency Control, Sensor, and Hybrid Product solutions, today announced enhancements to its fifth-generation VS-705 single rate voltage-controlled SAW oscillator. The latest version of the company's most popular SAW oscillator product offers customers additional features and functionality, making it the most feature rich VCSO available. Design engineers now have the freedom to select from a variety of power supplies, output logic types, pull ranges, gain settings and enable options. By including so many options in one component, the VS-705 is the most flexible, high performance VCSO on the market and reduces complexity and cost for customers in hotspot applications such as carrier-class Ethernet, broadcast video, and high end wireless communications. This product will be showcased in Hall B5, Booth 237 at electronica 2008, from November 11 to 14.

The VS-705 supports the industry's widest frequency range (125 MHz to 1 GHz). Its wide Absolute Pull Range (APR) of +/-100 ppm is essential for Ethernet, which requires twice the APR of other applications. Output enable logic can be configured for either Enable High or Enable Low and two oscillator gain options are available for optimization of the phased-locked loop (PLL) of which the VS-705 would be a part. Low voltage PLL circuits can now benefit from the VS-705's +2.5V power supply ordering option.
