Fail-Safe Ball Valves are constructed of Corzan® CPVC.
Press Release Summary:
Air-actuated valves are used for on/off service and automatically close when power failures occur. Available in 1/2 through 2 in. sizes with various connection types, valves have pneumatically powered fail-safe actuators constructed of corrosion-resistant plastics. Suited for use in applications that require elevated temperatures and corrosion resistance of Corzan, valves are available with manual override.
Original Press Release:
Plast-O-Matic Introduces Fail-Safe Valves in Corzan®
Summary: Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc. now offers a complete line of "fail-safe" valves constructed of Corzan® CPVC. These air-actuated valves are used for on/off service and will automatically close in the event of a power failure.
Cedar Grove, New Jersey: Plast-O-Matic Valves, Inc. has introduced a line of "fail-safe" actuated ball valves constructed of Corzan CPVC for use in applications that require the elevated temperatures and corrosion resistance of Corzan.
The all-Corzan ball valves are designed for on/off service; the actuator will close the valve automatically in the event of a power failure. In applications where the valve should not close -- such as water cooled processes -- the actuator can be modified to open the valve automatically during power loss. For applications requiring an additional measure of safety, a manual override is available.
Plast-O-Matic is a licensed manufacturer of Corzan valves and piping components. The Corzan ball valves are available in 1/2" through 2" sizes with a variety of connection types. The fail-safe actuators are constructed of corrosion-resistant plastics and are pneumatically powered.
