EVERLIGHT Electronics Highlights Three New High Performance Optocouplers among Its Increasing Infrared Portfolio at Electronica 2014

Transistor optocouplers offer high performance with a wide temperature range up to 110°C
Shulin, New Taipei City – EVERLIGHT ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.[TSE:2393, a leading player in the global LED and optoelectronics industry, will showcase its broad and growing infrared portfolio at electronica 2014that includes infrared LEDs, photo transistors and photo diodes, infrared receiver modules, optical sensors, photocouplers and high speed couplers. A particular attention this year will be given to three new high performance optocouplers EL617, EL101X and EL121N that combine a high breakdown voltage of 80V with a wide operating temperature range from -55 to 110°C which enhances system reliability.
EL617 and EL101X have a high isolation voltage of 5000 Vrms for improved insulation characteristics and a creepage distance of more than 8mm which offer an advantageous combination of key specifications sought after bypower supply designers. The EL121N with 3,750 Vrms targets DC-DC converters.Other applications include programmable controllers, measuring instruments, telecommunication equipment, home appliances and for signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances. All three optocouplers are Pb-free, RoHS-compliant and VDE approved. Sampling and technical support are available now (upon request). Mass production startsin Q4/2014.
Only recently, EVERLIGHT also introduced HIR C19D, a 855nm high-power infrared LED with low thermal resistance of 11°C/W and a high radiant intensity of 350mW/sr at 700mA especially suited for CCD cameras, nightguard security and other discrete surveillance systems. A viewing angle of 90° provides for an excellent illumination of the area under observation.The Pb free 3W high-power IRLED device is offered in a miniature 3.5 x 3.5 x2.36 mm SMD package molded in a water clear silicone with spherical top view lens, and a ceramic PCB housing for low thermal resistance.
Another infrared novelty is EVERLIGHT’s ultra-thin 940nm top-view infrared LED IR92-01C in a miniature small 2(L)x1.4(W)x0.7(H) mm MID LED package, announced earlier this year. With a low forward voltage of 1.3 V at 20mA, ahigh output power of 25mW/sr at 70mA and a narrow viewing angle of 45° fo reven higher output intensity without lens, EVERLIGHT’s IR92-01C Series is perfectly suited for any kind of IR data transmission like remote controls,proximity and optical touch sensors and high-tech touch panels. However, with a thickness of only 0.7mm this small SMD device is especially suited for IR applications like tablets, smart phones, and more where high power output, narrow beam angle or space constraints are of major concern.
