Mobile, AL, February 2, 2004 - Today, N-TRON, Corp. introduced the 524TX and 526FX2 Series of Industrial Ethernet Switches, equipped with extended port capacity, 12,000 MAC address support, and "state of the art" IEEE 802.3 Fast Ethernet 10/100BaseTX switching technology.
The N-TRON 524TX has twenty-four 10/100BaseTX RJ-45 ports that are auto sensing and auto configuring. Each port is automatically negotiated for maximum speed and performance by default. Bi-color LED's are provided to display the link status, speed and activity of each port.
The N-TRON 526FX2, in addition to the twenty-four 10/100BaseTX RJ-45 auto sensing ports, has two fiber optic 100BaseFX ports that support a full 200Mb/s communications. These ports are available in SC or ST style connectors.
To ensure superior performance, both the 524TX and 526FX2 use "state of the art" Fast Ethernet 10/100BaseTX switching technology. This eliminates network collisions and increases network determinism. 12,000 MAC addresses are also supported enabling sophisticated and complex architectures. A high-speed processor and backplane allows wire speed capability on all ports
simultaneously.
Housed in a rugged steel rack mount enclosure, the 524TX and 526FX2 are designed specifically to operate in industrial environments. Like all N-TRON products, the 524TX and 526FX2 come standard with extended temperature ratings, extended shock, noise, and vibration specs, redundant power inputs,
and a MTBF greater than 1M hours.
The 524TX and 526FX2 offer advanced Ethernet communication management functions that can be configured using the COM Port, a DB 9 connector located on the right side of the switch. Some of the advanced management functions include: IGMP Snooping, VLAN, QoS, Trunking, Port Mirroring, and N-View(TM) N-TRON's remote monitoring using OPC Technology. N-VIEW OLE for Process Control
(OPC) Server Software can be combined with the popular HMI software packages to add network traffic monitoring, trending and alarming to any application using N-TRON switches configured with the N-View option.
