Versatile Epoxy Has Superior Strength, 10-Minute Working Time

DANVERS, MA - Devcon 10 Minute(TM) Epoxy is a self-leveling adhesive formulated for bonding, potting, and cosmetic repairs in a variety of OEM applications. Its superior strength and excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including aluminum, steel, galvanized steel, copper, brass, glass, ceramics, and wood make it ideal for the assembly of signs, appliances, and furniture.

Available in clear and black formulations, 10 Minute Epoxy has a 10-minute working time and a fixture time of 20 minutes. Functional cure is attained in 90 minutes. Once cured, 10 Minute Epoxy provides a tensile shear strength of 2400 psi (as measured on grit-blasted steel with a bond-line thickness of 0.010", per ASTM D1002); a peel strength of 20-25 pli; and an impact resistance of 10 ft-lb/in2. Bonds withstand service temperatures from -67° to 200° F (dry).

Both formulations are 100% solids with very low VOC emissions, and both are mixed as dispensed using hand-held manual or pneumatic dispensers with static mixing nozzles. The mixed viscosity of the clear formulation (80,000 cps) is higher than that of the black formulation (70,000 cps). Both 10 Minute clear and 10 Minute black adhesives come packaged in 50-ml prefilled cartridges and 10-gallon kits. The black formulation is available in 400-ml cartridges as well.
