Silicone-Free Form-In-Place Gaskets

Silicone-Free Form-In-Place Gaskets

EMI announces a family of one component fast curing electronic grade formulations, EMCAST FIPG 1850 series. This room temperature stable, UV and/or heat activated prepolymers are designed as adhesives/sealants and/or gaskets with the added advantage of being an effective vibration damper. It can be cured almost instantly to a soft polymer by exposing to UV light in the 325-380nm range. Various hardness and viscosity are available to suit the various substrates and end-use conditions in microelectronics and general electronics.

EMCAST FIPG 1850 UV CURABLE SOFT EPOXY FOR; - FORM IN PLACE GASKETS -SEALING -VIBRATION DAMPING

EMCAST FIPG 1850 is a very soft UV curable epoxy, designed as an adhesive/sealant and gasket material, with the added advantage of being an effective vibration damper. It is curable by UV light in the 325-380 nm range. Various hardnesses and viscosities are available, to suit the various substrates and end-use conditions in microelectronics.

Use Instructions

Dispense onto/into parts to be gasketed, sealed or damped and expose to UV light in 325-380nM range. The intensity required depends on whether the EMCAST FIPG 1850 gasket is exposed directly to the UV light, or receives the radiation through a transparent medium. Start with 4,000-6,000mjoules of energy and adjust up or down as necessary.

For long term storage store in refrigerator, for day to day use, room temperatures is sufficient.

Good housekeeping rules are always important. Provide ample ventilation in all areas of handling, mixing and use. Avoid prolonged breathing of possible fumes. Minimize skin contact. Use of goggles, rubber gloves, and protective creams is recommended. Always wash exposed areas immediately using warm water and soap followed by rinsing with clear water. If material comes In contact with eyes, flush with clear water for fifteen minutes and consult a physician immediately.

All data in the bulletin are based on our own research and the research of others. They are believed to be accurate. However, no guarantee of accuracy is made. Product description is sold without warranty except conformity to specification and on condition that the purchasers shall determine suitability for their particular purpose.
